    Coding Gurus, need some help

I'm using OBDEleven and not a RT dongle and have been using the instructions off DV52 post. So far I can successfully achieve all the changes needed except that i cannot change adapaion channel 4 to "brake light" from post #614.

Is this a ODBEleven issue or i am just blind??

    Thanks in advance

Polar B: Hi. Yes, it probably is an OBD11 issue! The thing about how OBD11 reports adaptation channels is that it uses a parent-child structure whereas VCDS uses a " flat" naming structure - starting with a parenthesis number for Leuchte-sets.

The other thing about OBD11 is that it reports adaptation channels mostly in German and I suspect that this is the major reason for your inability to alter "channel 4 ". My instruction says change this channel to Brake light (using VCDS) - so, in German, this translates to Bremslicht (see picture below - note: the screen shot is NOT for the adaptation channel in my instructions - but hopefully it demonstrates my point)

My advice - whenever you are using VCDS instructions on OBD11 - have a copy of Google-translate open as well!

Thanks Don.. I was surprised too see it too, copying their URL converts it hmm lol

I should have known it was a translation issue... I'll remember it for the future

ZEAL san: Hi. Wild guess - entirely untested, but there's an adaptation channel in MIBI titled

    (7)-Startup_Screen_Sticker_HMI-Start screen China

it has the default setting VW Import which I think gives the VW symbol on start-up. I note that this screen is missing from your video, so I assume that "VW import" has been replaced by a personalised file - not sure how though. Perhaps someone else here can explain

Don san, thanks for your reply.
I am interesting how to import pictute file on this setting.
When I checked my channel map of STG 5F, my setting is
    Startup_Screen_Sticker_HMI 00 00

I am not sure how to change on this number to import the picture file.
    Thank you.
