^^^ Maca: you aren't doing anything wrong - the names for individual adaptation channels on VW control modules can be entirely English, entirely German and a mix of both! It really all depends on which module is in the car and what version firmware in installed in the module.
Just as starting advice (seeing that you are new to VCDS), if you look carefully at the names, you will see a pattern in the naming convention that the Ross-Tech reports. Here's an example from your picture
IDE02269-MAS04382-Acknowledgement signals-Optical feedback during locking
Notice the structure of the naming convention: it is like the naming convention of a relational database in that there is often (but not always) a "Parent" part and a "Child" part. So in the channel above, the relational database elements look like this :
Parent Tag Number - Child Tag number- Parent descriptor - Child descriptor
The elements of the naming convention are separated by "-". If you look at the remaining adaptation channels in your picture related to "Acknowledgement signals", you will see that they ALL have the same Parent Tag number (i.e. IDE02269)
So, if you recognize that lots of adaptation channels are related, it helps simplify the search for the correct channel
But, yes - it does help to have a German Translator App open when scrolling through the list of adapatiopn channels.

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.
I feel like an absolute noob with this. I managed to activate the alarm chirp on lock and the DRL control in the vehicle settings, but I can’t seem to deactivate the DRL wink when the turn signals activate.
i couldnt get the alarm chirp to work on my mk7 tdi highline..
