I’m an Apple addict, so it would be easier for me, than say the OBDEleven, but only if all the functionality is there.

    Any users out there?
    Cheers

BIGDOG: Launch control count on a mk7 Golf? Interesting thing to do - I didn't think that MQB vehicles had this facility! Eager to hear of your experience (ELM chip based devices tend to be not as "intimate" with their host OBD ports)

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.

The new Tiguan has launch control but why is one of life's big mysteries.

There were some 'surprise' dealer K's on my new Golf hence my curiosity on launches. Have spoken to my mechanic and he believes he can access the count. Will know next week when I catch up with him.

Feedback: downloaded the iOS app today and trialled it on my 7.5 - first it runs a diagnostic check (no faults), then it offers options which it knows will work on your model.

I enabled fan speed on auto, and remember driver and passenger heated seat settings. Could not get rain close to stay ‘on’, but have msg the developer for feedback.

Can it turn off the fake engine noise, aka soundaktor ?

Is there some way to dim the 7.5 led front fog lights? I was planning to enable the fogs so that they are constantly on, switch in Auto position. But would like them to be more dimmer so that they do not attract the police. Only when I pull the light switch for the fogs to be normally on, then they would be full brightness.

Or would it be easier for this to work if it is only like this if the light switch is fully turned to right.

    Didn’t see that option listed.

hmm........ you could add the "Terminal 15" Leuchte-command to an unused Alpha channel and then use a lower value in the associated Dimmwert channel ("Terminal 15" is the function of turning-on the ignition) - but the Leuchte-sets for the two front fog lights needs to be active.

If the setting for ENG116949-ENG116119-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lasttyp 13 on your mk7.5 is NOT not active, try this:

Go to the BCM (@ address hex09) - then enter the magic number 31347 as the security code:

    Right-side front fog-light
    ENG116949-ENG116564-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtfunktion C 13 change to Klemme 15 mit Nachlauf bis Fahrzeugstillstand
ENG116949-ENG116128-Leuchte13NL RB5-Dimmwert CD 13 change to 50 (or, any value you want)

    Left-side front fog-light
    ENG116948-ENG116107-Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtfunktion C 12 change to Klemme 15 mit Nachlauf bis Fahrzeugstillstand
ENG116948-ENG116109-Leuchte12NL LB45-Dimmwert CD 12 change to 50 (or, any value you want)

As explanation, according to Mr Google, Klemme 15 mit Nachlauf bis Fahrzeugstillstand translates to Terminal 15 with overrun until vehicle standstill - so the fog-lights will (should?) illuminate whenever the ignition is turned-on, or the vehicle rolls (without ignition-on). The suggested changes won't (shouldn't?) affect the normal operation or the illumination level of the fog-light - when the center part of the rotary light switch is pulled-out.

Of course, I make no judgement regarding the suitability of the change to the fog-light operation with the prevailing road laws in your part of the world (I've never been to Hell -but I suspect that I will be a resident there after I pass). You should satisfy yourself about this matter before implementing the tweak

Finally, if you do try this untested tweak - please share your observations

    Don

PS:Is there a road-sign as you approach your place of residence saying "Abandon hope all ye who enter here"?

I had changed my ABS from 29 bytes 5Q0907379AC to 3Q0907379AB
    my old ABS coding
    01FA6AA120211275037C060601C32980560448C0608094F3142A5038C1
    my new ABS coding
    01FA6AA114212975077C060641C32580562894E0608294F314225078C102
But i think it is not fully correct
at least Brakes specified incorrectly in byte 4 and 14.
I think the correct values are 24 in byte 4 and 29 in byte 14. But ABS did not accept such changes.
is there any one who could help me with proper coding?
My car is VW golf 7, 1.4TSI 140Hp, DSG7. Front brakes are 288mm, rear brakes 272 mm.
