If I'm correct, your settings for the left-side dot should be as shown below. Please alter the Dimmwert AB value on your car to a small number. If I'm correct, you should see the dot illumination reduce on the left-side with the headlights switched-on. Revert the setting back to original and please advise your observation

    Hi Don,

    I can confirm the Leuchte-sets on the Bi-Xenon headlights are Leuchte8FL LB39 (left-side) and Leuchte9FL RB2 (right-side) for the dot led. I kind of jumped ahead then and set Leuchte8FL LB39-Lichtfunktion C 8 and Leuchte9FL RB2-Lichtfunktion C 9 from "not active" to "daytime running light" and then Leuchte8FL LB39-Dimmwert CD 8 and Leuchte9FL RB2-Dimmwert CD 9 from "0" to "127". This works exactly as I had hoped.

After testing all possible combinations of headlights, indicators, parking lights etc I did not notice any problems with my change.

Is this kind of what you were going to suggest?

    Cheers mate,
    Lex.

Lex: Great initiative - well done!! That's exactly what I would have suggested! By placing the DRL function in the "CD" alpha-pair, you have given DRL function the highest priority when there is a conflict. But since the DRL function can't conflict with the Parking light function (they are antithetical), you shouldn't have a problem.

Has anyone coded Traffic Jam Assist into a 7.5 with DAP? Is it possible? Im looking at buying a 7.5 with DAP and keen to know if it can be done.

point: There has been a bunch of discussions over on the new Tiggy and the Passat B8 forum. Lot of folk hoping that it's just a coding question . My personal guess (and it's just that - a hunch) is that TJA is what's called SWAP (Software as Product) which means that it needs an activation number from the dealer that is tied to your VIN (assuming that the firmware in the module is up to date). Probably also needs a code-string tweak too (I suspect from what colleagues are saying on the other forums).

    Hi,

I don't know if this has been discussed before. I have a Golf mk7 Trendline (2016) and for the last week or so I've been trying to install the Multifunction Steering wheel and get it fully working.

    So far:
-the CAN Gateway has been switched from low to high, so right now I have a fully working Gateway High (no CP).
-The multifunction steering wheel is installed and controls are mostly working (multifunction display - it's a trendline so it's the low version, + media controls).
-The 'extra' cruise control wire is installed (ECU pin 56 - steering wheel controls pin 5 if I remember correctly)

I have issues however with activating cruise control. Both cruise control and the speed limiter have been activated via VCDS in Engine and Steering, but when at least one of these two is activated, I get an error in Engine:
"Check Coding of ECUs on Powertrain Data Bus"
and when Cruise Control is activated, an error also appears in ABS as well.
Cruise Control shows "ERR" on the display, but the speed limiter works just fine apparently. So the best guess right now would be that some sort of coding needs to be done on ABS side as well in order to prepare for CC. And for the Golf MK7 at least in VCDS for ABS, there's no helper, and there are 60 bytes to code...

I've seen successful retrofits with instructions for cruise control via the signal stalker, but not on the multifunction steering wheel so far, and it would be a shame to just leave those controls there with no function. Can anyone help me with the missing coding?

This makes perfect sense, it may be the same as voice control activation, that said a Slovenian coding shop has enabled it on a Skoda Kodiaq...

Point: I looked at your video - I'm not sure that the video says that the coding shop actually activated TJA - it only shows what happens when TJA is activated.

But then my Sovenian language skills aren't that good -in fact they are non existent !

I thought so toon but translating the corresponding Facebook post on their page says that theyre the first to activate TJA and it's listed on their website - so theres definitely hope that it can be done!

This comes from the Polo 6C, it might also work on the Golf 7, feel free to try.

Auto light based on the light sensor in the cluster

    - VCDS Select module 09
    - Security access and fill in the code
    - Change the following adaptation channels

    Leuchte4TFL LB43-Light_Function_D_4 Abblendlicht links
    Leuchte4TFL LB43-Light_Function_E_4 Terminal 58xt dimmer

    Leuchte5 TFL RB6-Dimming_CD_5 100
    Leuchte5 TFL RB6-Dimming_Direction_CD_5 maximize

    Leuchte5 TFL RB6-Dimming_EF_5 0
    Leuchte5 TFL RB6-Dimming_GH_5 100
    Leuchte5 TFL RB6-Light_Control_HD_AB_5 Always
    Leuchte5 TFL RB6-Light_Function_A_5 Interior light
Leuchte5 TFL RB6-Light_Function_B_5 Blinken rechts aktiv
    Light_Function_C_5 Daytime running lights
    Light_Function_D_5 Abblendlicht rechts
    Light_Function_E_5 Terminal 58xt dimmer

I didn't figure this one out myself nor have I tested it since I don't have an MQB car.

LB43 and RB6 are probably different on the Golf 7 too, but the terminal 58xt idea might work.
