Hello,
I have an MY15 Golf Comfortline (90TSI) and I'm looking to upgrade the 'infotainment' system to MIB2 (hopefully 2nd hand). I have a few part numbers from a 2017 Golf Alltrack for the 3 parts I think I need (prices from VW):
- 8” Screen $1750 5G6919605B
- MIB II $3534 3Q0035864B
- USB input $102.30 5G0035222E
I know that once the new parts are installed, a programmer needs to remote in to match the new parts with my VIN.
I have seen a few other posts with different part numbers. I'm wondering how many people have researched into this.
- What was the first model year golf to come with MIB2 as standard? (from what I have found it's MY17)
- Is there a standard part number for the 6.5" display, MIB2 brain unit, and new USB input? does anyone have these?
- can you mix and match any MIB2 part number (e.g. 6.5" or 8" display)?
- Does the new Polo have the same MIB2 units as the new Golf?
Thanks
Contact Dean from VW Central (just do a search on the web) he can help you out I bought one from him with DAB cheaper than the prices you are quoting.
