Track Day at Sandown - Slight Brake issue

So I did a track day at Sandown yesterday through Evolve Driving, the guys did a fantastic job. The Golf R SE was fantastic throughout the day in both the dry and wet sessions, in fact it was outstanding in the wet.

The one issue I had was after the first dry session, I came into the pits after my cool down lap and found my brake pads on fire!! I had to do another cool down lap. This became my norm for the day 2 cool down laps after each session. There were no brake performance issues when I was on the track, the brakes were outstanding with almost no pedal fade. Just significantly hot.

To my question. I am planning to do 3-4 track days a year and don't really want to end up with my brakes on fire. I am looking to do two things. The first is to replace the pads and the second is to upgrade my brake fluid. Does anyone have any experience with after market brake pads? I am looking at Ferodo DS2500's after talking to a couple of guys at the track day.

You could add the Audi (S3 or RS3 ?) brake scoops that channel extra cooling air onto the discs.

From what I've read a lot of people that track their cars end up fitting a big brake kit of some kind, and it seems like you might need that as well.
