I've just coded one for a customer down to 60% and sounds much better (on a Mk7 R)

^ JDM, would you be able to share the coding required? I would like to have my dealer adjust my Mk7 R but this will be a first for them so much easier if I go to them and say "this is what you need to do, 5 minute job". Cheers

OK, here it is (courtesy of Golf mk7 FORUM):

    Go to:

    - A9 Struct. Borne Sound
    - Adapation 10
    - Select "channel of structure borne sound " (only choice)
    - Std value 100% - change to the value you want stored in % (60% has been suggested as a good happy medium, adjust to 0% if you want no noise/mini vibrations).
    - "Use change code for change approval" (not sure what this means??)

Now to find someone with a VCDS cable or trudge back to the dealer...

Haha yeah thats ok, its a really simple job, they can scan the vehicle and go to the borne sound control module (called -J869-) and in there they can code the volume as a percentage, 60% works good at that but its upto you what level youd prefer

    Soundaktor

Anyone in Melbourne with VCDS and micro CAN who can assist with a simple coding of the soundaktor synthesised engine noise for Golf R mk7? Would really appreciate it. I have the instructions so should be pretty simple.

I'm out west, so if you want to get stabbed and have a few other things switched on then just drop me a PM. Only thing I haven't gotten to work so far was the XDL adaption in the brake electronics.
