    Reverse camera installation in Brisbane

    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a reputatble place around brisbane for installation of the genuine reverse camera?

Martin at Home page has been very inconsistent with their price for installation.

Quoting me $400, $500 and $800 on 3 seperate occassions.

You may have a problem to find the installer that already done it, because the car is to new to the market. There are also different RVC, he may quoted you every time on something else.

If its a badge camera on Golf 7 and your car is compatible installation and coding is $600

$800 is the install of aftermarket camera + Nav.

You wont find anyone in Brisbane who has successfully coded and installed badge camera on Golf 7 guaranteed, sounds a bit ignorant but the issue is on multiple levels here.

To find out if you have a suitable system for OEM camera we need a part number from the main unit 5F central electronics.

$400 is the charge for Golf 6 btw

    Hi mate,

$500 for the nav install. It integrates in the OEM screen.
Badge Reverse camera will work as well no probs.

That sounds good. Do you have any installers in Canberra at all?

    No worries mate.
Still a competitive price as these navs sell for $2500+GST in Sydney to the dealerships.

Best idea order one with nav from factory and bi-xenons as these are the 2 items hardest to retro-fit on Golf 7, well and a camera

You can actually get a badge camera to work with aftermarket Nav which is something we only found out a couple of days ago.
