Replacement Lower Side Seat Bolster Material - Carbon Fibre Pattern

The carbon fibre patterned material on the lower side of my driver's seat is damaged beyond repair.

Think it is a Wolfsburg exclusive material but am not certain.

I spoke to an upholsterer who believes it would be near impossible to match the pattern without replacing it with OEM material.

Was going to cost $2K for replacement from VW.

Anyone got any suggestions? I'm not having any luck finding a wrecked VW with the same seats.

For $2k you would be not far off a full retrim in real leather. You might be able to find a place in Europe selling that carbon fibre pattern material if you really want to try to replace just that piece - but I doubt it will be easy to find.

Otherwise you might have to buy a new seat base from VW (assuming you can just buy the seat base).
