I have changed the pads before so know how to unscrew the bolts but i would like to remove the entire caliper and refurb them.
does anyone know the process / tools needed for disconnecting the hose and if there will be brake fluid gushing out e.t.c

For your own safety and everybody else's, if you have to ask these questions, you're better off leaving it to the experts.
Once you disconnect the hoses, fluid will leak but that's the least of your problems, you will have to bleed the brakes, if not done right could be a big problem.
