There is only 1 rear fog light on the Golf - it's on the right.
The other one is a reverse light.
From memory you had to push or pull the light knob to activate it in the Mk6?
Ive noticed on my Highline that when the rear fog light is activated only the rear RH side fog light turns on. Does anyone else get the same?
And today I noticed that when I do this the rear fog light indicator appears on the dash, however the icon for the rear fog lights isnt lighting up on the drivers side light toggle thingy. Note: the flash from my camera makes it hard to see however there are lit icons on the toggle, except for the rear fog icon

I'd be interested what the owner's manual says on this subject... assuming the owner read it
Dont drive with it on unless its foggy.
It looks like you have the brakes on and at night is an absolute pin in the A***E.
Mitsubishi 4wd have 2 of them and one in our area has it going at night and you never know if hes stopping or not as the fogs completely shade the brake lights making it very dangerous.
As well its illegal to have them on except in the correct weather situation. Same as with the front W*****r lights

Yep only one fog light. As for the switch my polo is the same. The icons light up as you switch to them including the front fogs but when you turn on the rear you get the light on the dash and not on the switch.
