"The water doesn't come through the carpet" If it doesn't come thru, where are you feeling "damp"?

And the AC is above the driver's feet instead of the passengers feet as with our LHD models? That does not seem right.

Well a bit of water came through to make it damp, but not enough that it flowed through. If that makes sense.

But the majority of the water was in a squishy pocket under the carpet

So according to the dealership, the driver door seal has leaked and water went behind the speaker and under the driver carpet. It didn't drain as it was supposed to.

It must have come through during the storm in Brisbane last Thursday. The car was only in it for 15 mins or so...so seems strange!

They have to take photos and send them to VW to find out how to proceed.

Hopefully they get back to you quickly and sort i out.
It was a lot of heavy rain last week but i wouldn't expect the door seals to fail enough to let the water in.

You don't seem to be having much luck with the car unfortunately.

And now apparently it was the AC overflow pipe...

    So confused!
