Thanks I'll check the controller models over the weekend. Luckily I invested in a VCDS cable a few years ago now That said, its a Hex+ USB cable and it cannot read the R's ECU (all other modules still OK to read)..... 5 VWs later I might have to upgrade it.

BTW, the 145 now growls a bit more with the GTI exhaust, love it.

Rear end looks much better now with the GTI muffler and diffuser. Personally if it was me i would de-badge the Golf and TSI logos (or even just the Golf logo) for a cleaner look - but obviously some people prefer to leave the badges on.

So, just when I thought this project was all done except for the wheels, I have been told the GTI exhaust is too quiet

Sourced a GTI Supersprint exhaust 2.75" with 4" tips LOL and fitted it.

Now it has the required burble and noise I'm told

Funny thing, the Supersprint is/was advertised as a 3" system, but upon measuring it, it really is 2.75" . It is a big difference from the 2" stock 1.4TSI but only 0.25" more than a stock GTI.
