On non school days there is no 40km/h displays.
However I don't have TSR activated.

You say APPROACHING school zones Mine doesnt change till I have passed the sign

It should be pointed out that there are different brands of units that do different things.

Also in different makes within the VAG group vehicles have different grades of stuff enabled EG DLA is in current Tiguan Allspaces but not in the standard one.

Audis seem to have a higher level of equipment , once again dependent on the model and spec level of that model.

So to compare one against the other is a case of oranges and apples

"The limited sign comes up because of the lack of info in the maps. Its not "fault" just the unit telling you it cant find what it is looking for"

I'm aware but does it get logged as a fault code is my question? I have seen so in a similar post

Wasnt in my last scan or any others either Interestingly this morning I went up to where I turn left and it changes to 70 without a sign and I turned right ad went up far enough to see the speed sign for that part of the road It stayed at the 60 as per the sign.
However on coming back to the corner where it usually changed to 70 (no sign) it didnt so am stuffed IF I know how it gets the speeds at times

Unit immediately shows 70 which apparently a few years ago it was.
Changes to 80 as i go past the next sign then when I go off the slip road it changes to 60 again but is actually an 80 zone

No rhyme nor reason to that lot

Also on the Bruce Highway there is about 10km of roadworks signed 80. In the middle of it 60 pops up on the dash and it was 2 years ago before the road works started and the road moved over about 100m sideways from where that exit was
urs is acting weird, and sound like its operating in Fusion mode at times!! don't know how, but its picking up map data somehow.
do u have TMC activated? could it possibly, long shot, remote chance, have an influence on the speed being displayed in ur cluster/infotainment? dunno know. doubt it. then again.......

    ur mystery continues.

no, there is definitely no faults logged. its just a warning, rather than an error/fault.

with mine, the warning shows up, without fail, after the first 500m of driving, whether or not it sees a speed sign or not.
then never shows again for that drive.

Well did it again this morning and a new message popped up Said No traffic signs available then a minute later gave the usual restricted one which it only does once Was because I had the speed sign in centre of AID instead of just in the top row

Things that could affect it ,,, maybe.

I have altered a setting to correct my speedo and it now reads perfect at 100kph

    Do have TMC enabled

Just did the TSR as per the coding instructions.

I only ever get a single speed sign at a time and it only changes as I go past it not before unless its one of the phantom ones

If I am overspeed it puts a little exclamation mark on left side of the sign ( have turned the gong off)

Do have DLA enabled. Had HBA enabled but after doing DLA it seems to have turned that off as I looked in the module and its now disabled

    Have stopstart turned off

Also altered the steering wheel notification when getting out of lane however it has only vibrated on one occasion and did it all the way for 90km and has never done it before that or after it

So god knows cos I dont Does anyone elses pick up historic signs that arent there any more

I notice in 4B which is DLA that predictive route data is enabled Wonder if that has anything to do with it

I'm also interested in enabling HBA, I do have "light assist during rain" option available in the Discovery Pro menu (lights). Not sure of the coding though. My car only has halogen headlamps though.

@ Hillbilly - enabling DLA will disable HBA as it appears to be included in DLA. to my knowledge, DLA includes HBA, cornering, AFS etc all in one.

I'm also interested in reducing the size of the speedometer and rpm meter (the two circular ones), giving more room to the navigation pane, as you may have seen in Audi. Is this something possible in VW?

The DLA comes only with the models with LED lights. Mine is the comfortline with DA & DP/Audio package. DLA requires the motors and other systems to move the lights depending on the car level/position (sensed by levelers on the suspension), camera input etc and the AFS control module. These are not present in my car, hence I HBA or light assist is the only possible option. Would you be aware of the coding?

As for the shrinking of the meters, I wish to transform to the Audi model, as shown in the pic.Post speed sign in active display GTi 7.5-virtual_cockpit2__download-1024x681-jpg

I just came across this link which gives information on TSR on Audi with Fusion mode. Has anybody tried these steps?

Well there is the problem as we have been talking about using OBDeleven and now you say you are using something else

Also as the thread is about TSR I will comment no further about lights as its well off topic
