Well locally mine doesnt show anything till i get up the road and a 60 sign appears so it changes. Just around the corner i turn left onto another road with no sign and it changes to 70 keep going and get an 80 sign and then turning off on the off ramp there is no sign and it changes to 70 and then at the next 80 sign to that.

So maybe when you drive that way you will find out. Mine also changes to a 60 in the middle of an 80 zone, where previously there used to be a 60 zone till they started road works.
Only way to find out is watch as you drive.

In my car, if you make a turn, the speed limit remains as for the previous zone. If you speed up to match the new road's limit, the entire VC blacks out and displays an overspeeding visual & audible warning, until it sees a new speed sign. This is the use case where I would wish the TSR would work with the maps and display the speed limit on the maps, until a new traffic sign is detected.

Well as I already said different models do different things and if you are getting overspeed warnings you are obviously driving too fast..

How do you know its a different speed zone if there is no sign Apart from when I leave home mine or another place I have parked it always has a speed sign showing I turned the bloody gong off.

What does the speed sign look like when you go over the limit

I was in a 60 kph zone, the TSR displayed 60, I then entered a school zone, the TSR detected this zone and displayed 40. I turned left before the school zone was over. The speed limit for this road is 50, however, there was no speed sign present until about a kilometer afterwards so that TSR kept on displaying 40. I increased my speed to 45 kph when the VC went blank and displayed a speed warning sign along with the audible alert.

In such a scenario, I would expect the TSR to check the maps and display the speed sign which the maps would have otherwise displayed (without TSR).

As already said here and in other places the marriage between the maps and the camera is not complete in Australia so it seems there will be abberations between them
I have the overspeed set to about 30 above so it never goes off as its a pain

Despite these fancy things the car has it is still the drivers responsibility to do the correct thing. With the limitations of maps here you are expecting a bit much.

Further more read reply 24 in the Skoda thread you replied to It explains about the mapping limitations perfectly

as i mentioned before - being set to "road sign detection", it will only display the speed sign it sees, and it will remain until the next speed sign is displayed.
so in ur scenario above, yes it would remain on 40 and show an over speed warning, until it spots the next speed sign.
i've currently set mine to show a warning only when i go 15 km/h or more. this can b set to between 0 and 30 km/h. i've also set it to visual only - it shows a large display warning for 3 secs, before reverting to the top of the cluster. no audio warning - its annoying.

below is an example where i drove through a school zone today. being saturday, the 40 km/h doesn't apply, so i continue driving at 60. however the TSR does not know its saturday, saw the 40 km/h school zone limit and stated i have exceeded the sign posted speed.

Ok I thought that was how it would work as well and fair enough.

BUT how do you equate that theory with the FACT that i posted about our area. No sign on dash till I go past one 800m up road. Turn left onto a road which actually has a 60 limit (I went back up it till I found a sign)
Unit immediately shows 70 which apparently a few years ago it was.
Changes to 80 as i go past the next sign then when I go off the slip road it changes to 60 again but is actually an 80 zone

No rhyme nor reason to that lot

Also on the Bruce Highway there is about 10km of roadworks signed 80. In the middle of it 60 pops up on the dash and it was 2 years ago before the road works started and the road moved over about 100m sideways from where that exit was

I did a more detailed drive today and TSR could detect all the speed signs and even displayed multiple signs where there were multiple conditions present. I only got the "limited" message once and that was after I started driving and there were no signs present but it did come back after the first sign was detected.

I hope the"limited" message does not get logged as some error. is this the case with others?

The limited sign comes up because of the lack of info in the maps. Its not "fault" just the unit telling you it cant find what it is looking for

The maps on my Audi, Here provided maps similar to Discover Pro, will show in the map the speed while approaching schools zones as 40km/h depending on the actual time of day. Example on Friday I was travelling through the same school zone at 3.50pm which displayed 40km/h, twenty minutes later traveling the same route it was now showing 70 km/h. On non school days there is no 40km/h displays.
However I don't have TSR activated.
