Have you got any pics of these wheels on a Golf? Interested in the fitment as they might fit better on a Scirocco/Passat/Tiguan...

Probably somewhere.

These will go great on a Golf that is lowered, or as you said they will suit the lower offset Dubs or Audis.

Here is 19 x 8 with effective offset around ET34 (f) and ET30 (r) with spacers so flush is achievable on Golfs. I don't recall what this guy runs suspension wise.
