They would work well on the Alltrack I reckon, same reason the Brescias do on.. I think it's Kachings ride. That more generic polished and black finish doesn't need to sit low to work - although I think they look better on that Golf than they do on a Tig.

Put them on the Alltrack and go up one tyre size just so it didn't look like it was running on rubber bands.

There is a trend away from rubber bands these days. I've noticed quite a few of the USA cars (where they seem to complain more about roads than even us) are swapping out to a "meatier" sidewall. Whereas the Euros are still tending to lower profiles courtesy of good highways.

Hopefully not too much of a noob question. But basically looking for rims for MK7.5 GTI that are 9"-9.5" wide doesnt matter whether 18" or 19" but with good offset, seems like to get rims with offset of 20 or so if just not possible for this car without some body modifications is this correct?

    No noob questions here.

If you're at 9" wide and a low offset like ET20 then you would absolutely need some modifications to bring it back to legal - they would be near enough to 5cm further out than the stock wheels!

There are some cars running some wide wheels and lower offsets in the 35 range from memory, one not too long ago, but they had camber plates and likely guard work to tuck the wheels back in. Alternately you'd want some widebody arches.

    Would love to see that!
