At that price level there isn't much new (depending on what you're chasing). Most of the good quality lighter weight 18s will tend to start at $2k and up these days, although you can still pick up cheaper heavier but still reasonable VMR wheels like the classic 710 for $1.7k. I'd also be on the hunt in the classifieds to see what people are moving on - I let my second hand OZ Leggera HLTs go for under $2k and there was nothing wrong with them.

There would be some alternate OEM options floating around occasionally at that price point as well although our market is fairly small here compared to say the US.

There's a number of these scattered in the thread, they were originally designed as a winter wheel so are fairly heavy (but tough) but ended up becoming a cheap entry point into the BBS range.

8.5 is ok, but will start to show a little stretch - depends on how you feel about the look, try tyrestretch.com to suss it out although there are plenty of 225s on 8.5s buried in this thread too.
