Pardon my ignorance, but what are the wheels on the Steel R in pic 2?
Think they would look good on my GTI CS/40.
But then again, anything would look better than the Rubys

A good light weight option that won't break the bank - Enkei RS05RR, which come in a friendly 18 x 8.5 ET45 fitment, and only weight 18.1lbs/8.2kg. The deep gunmetal is the color to go for, the silver is a 'sparkle' so a little to shiny/chrome look for me (especially on your white CS).

Sergio's white R with the 19 inch OZ ST LMs in graphite are magnificent looking, but do carry a small weight penalty (although they're super tough). Pick of the multi-spokes for me. If the budget is big you could also look at the flow formed HRE FF15s; or on the cheaper end say VMR 709s.

Audi V-spokes FTW!!!

They're probably the best looking wheel that I've seen fitted up to a Mk7 Golf... or to that other VAG brand that gets mentioned occasionally.

I'm sure there's a decent market for second-hand V-spokes if you ever decided to trade up Dutch.

They're right up there for an OEM rim. In the wider fitments (i.e. 19x9", or 19x8.5" reps) they look amazing. In the S3's 19x8 they're not so aggressive, but still a very pretty wheel in their own right.

I'm sure there is - although they do stack well in corners too. In fact I used a stack of Austins as a light stand in Cairns.
