    Mk7 Golf R Discussion Thread

    As I'm getting excited about picking up my LSG R this coming week, I have been looking into potential wheels. After I bit of searching, I have found the ones I want. I think they will be quite expensive though, I'm going to get a quote from Volkspower in Burwood (VIC) and see if it's a viable option, here they are; (please excuse the YouTube images as I wanted to find the wheel on the colour I'm getting)
    *Also note I'll have the sunroof which will black out a section of the roof which will make the wheels look even better.

    Oettinger RXX Silverline

    Thoughts would be appreciated.
    The link for the video;

    **Wasn't sure whether this should have gone in the wheel thread or not...

    They were around $1k per rim when first released locally, but that was with a slightly more favourable exchange rate.

    Definitely a quality wheel with a long VAG history, but plenty of other good choices once you start talking that kind of budget.

    A set of HRE FF01s in tarmac would look sweet if you're set on a black wheel.

    Thanks Dutch, I'm definitely hesitant to spend $1k per wheel. Extremely pricey. I do enjoy some of the HRE wheels, always been a fan of the P101's. I'll definitely keep perusing this thread, my R will come with the Cadiz wheels which are still nice.

    A P101 will make the Oettinger cheap.

    The HRE FlowForm series are the entry point and can be had for some good prices, but if you like that style of wheel then as suggested I'd be looking at a set of Audi Rotors (genuine, not rep), or perhaps look at something from TSW like the Rivage or Spa - not exactly the same, but utilising black and polished finishes in a far nicer way than the OEM wheel.

    Not a fan personally - but an improvement on how they look on the RS3.

    If you did have an RS3 and got 'stuck' with Nardo Grey then what you need is OZ Leggera HLTs:

    Now that is a colour that really works with black HLTs (although I'm not sure what finish other than black would go well with Nardo TBH).

    Agreed - I'm surprised just how poor the RS3 looks as a cohesive package in stock trim given Audi's usually impeccable design standards. I'm struggling to visualise Nardo with other colors and I don't see it.

    That wheel and height mod though transforms it into something aggressive at least.
