Both wheels are one piece counter pressure cast wheels with flow formed rims, there may be some more technical differences that aren't actively published by BBS but besides design variance in theory no there shouldn't be.

However that isn't borne out in the numbers as the CH seems to come out around 7.5% heavier:

CH-R 19 x 8.5 ET48 5 x 112 24.2lbs
CH 19 x 8.5 ET35 5 x 112 26.08lbs

The offset does make a tiny difference so I've just rounded the above calculation down to 7.5%.

Throw in the better looks of the CH-R for the Mk7 and I'd go that way.

Or because most Australians don't like paying for wheels and Italian/German quality, save a packet and at least buy a decent set of reps and pick up the VMR 810s which are for all intents and purposes a close look to the BBS, use flow formed construction and can be had under $2k locally.

Or get a better price on OZ.

Or go for practical and cheaper 18s plus HLT and buy mine FFS.
