The red is wearing the anthracite finish though, which I think works well on white - even at stock height.

It's the age old problem though - ride comfort/practicality/cost/legality v bacon.

I like these GTs, but LOVE the LMs.

I could see LMs in my future again one day.

If the Mk2 ever picks up wheels then it must be posted here.

    geez, those VMRs look good!

edit: The wheels Dutch has for sale are very nice. Worth a 2nd look & a solid fitment.

I like Oz, Speedlines, Enkei & Team Dynamics but there are plenty of other nice looking & lightweight wheels out there. I note that Tire Rack appear to have relaunched their house brand TRMotorsport and a very lightweight (and cheap) Kosei.
Koya are worth a look too

A lightweight 18x8 will be around 8.5kg at best and you'll be paying $450/wheel upwards.

A lightweight 17x8 will be around 7.5 kg (easily attained) and the price starts around $250

Thank you all for the advises, after I had a look at the brands suggested here, I might go with Enkei this time as they have distributor in Australia(I think it's called autotechnik) and their price isn't too expensive, just need to pick one that looks good on the Octavia Wagon. Might go with the darker colour Rajin or RPF1.

Edit* I might also consider the RS05RR but these only come with 18*8.5.

I have had a lot of trouble finding good pictures of the 19" Pretoria Black, don't think these pictures have been shown here!
I am very happy that I chose these!

And now at least in Europe we can choose these with blue stripes for an extra 100€:

This is a permanent exhibit in the 'why VWA don't give a stuff about their customers' case.

To get a set of these locally means going online for around $5,500 landed (rough estimate only) or visiting one of the handful of stealerships that will get you a set for $7,500 (going on anecdotal evidence).

To put this into perspective once again, the Germans get stuck with 18 inch Cadiz stock, but can option 19 inch for $1,380 AUD. This is where it hurts though, given we start with that point as stock - for $1,535 they can have silver or black Pretorias (or these blue treated ones for $1,830).

$155 is all you pay extra to go from Cadiz to Pretoria in Germany.

And for anyone that would choose Cadiz over Pretorias you're clearly on the wrong thread.
