Thanks Mikey1,Looks great! I'm really pleased that silver wheels on a white Golf looks the business. There's far too much black wheels on everyone's radar, and your result reinforces my decision to go in a similar direction.
Yeah I agree blacks been done to death, plus for me personally you lose to much of the spoke/wheel design because of the dark colour. I was one the fence with either anthracite or silver, After a lot! of trawling through photos I feel I made the right choice and kept the OEM+ look I was after.
To me 'Grey Metallic' and silver wheels are pretty close, or I'm colour blind? side by side next to the standard Dijon wheels I struggle to see much if any difference.Mikey1, agree on your comments, keep in mind these are grey metallic so a little different to straight silver - probably halfway between silver and the 'grigio corsa' finish on my OZs.

They're pretty close, but I recently saw a mk6 with Watkins Glen on a holiday to Brisbane and they are definitely a few shades darker than the usual OEM silver. I think the Watkins Glen design tends to reflect light with all of its angles, and with some light on it, looks a lot closer to OEM silver

Think you're right there Popcorn. On closer inspection you can see the light catching the angles in the photos. I was considering getting these powder coated in anthracite. But I think I'll keep them genuine to avoid devaluing them as they are bit of a rarity over hereThey're pretty close, but I recently saw a mk6 with Watkins Glen on a holiday to Brisbane and they are definitely a few shades darker than the usual OEM silver. Popcorn summarised it nicely - I wasn't implying a huge difference, just a slight one that makes these wheels more interesting. As genuine Watkins I'd be inclined to leave them as is as you have suggested, there are reps in anthracite, black and polished for different looks.
They are rare here as I believe they've only ever appeared as fitment on the ED35s, and most of those appear to still carry their stock wheels. The importation of new from overseas is prohibitively expensive. Second hand ex the USA might be another option for others looking - they're more common there as they were fitted to a number of models and were possibly optionable as well.
Another look at a red GTI with same fitment:

The Watkins Glen were an a optional extra for the 200 ED35's that made it to Oz. Interestingly I popped into my local VW dealer the other day to book my service I was told that the Watkins Glen wheel is still able to be ordered through spare parts....... $1675 a corner! I'll be parking a minimum of 1 metre from the kerb

Here's a comparison of the "standard silver" (on my GTI running Omanyts) and the Watkins Glen grey (on ozrodent's ED35; aside - these were standard fitment on the ED35 in Australia, not optional). Apologies they're not in the same photo or at the same angle.
There's definitely a difference there, although in the flesh the Watkins Glen don't stand out as grey to me. As another comparison, here are Dutch77's OZs in 'Grigio Corsa' finish:
