Haven't really heard much about this German brand until I came across these pics, the car also had a vinyl wrap on the roof, proving that a black and white theme will still work just as well on the Mk7 as ever before. These would set you back around $1,300 plus freight, duties and taxes ex the UK.

That's a lot of wheel and very little rubber. These are the originals of the reps posted here: The Official Mk7 Wheel Thread . Seems to be some conflicting information on the offsets, needless to say you may have some issues with fitment without some work to make it legal. As stated before the Vossens don't come cheap, but they are a clean quality wheel.

I think there's a point where things get to big - I like to perve on low profile as much as the next guy, but I like to go back home at night on 18s/19s.

The Vossen CV3's really need a big brake upgrde otherwise they just make the standard brakes look tiny.

    Easy to clean though.

Wouldn't need much tyre black either..

Agreed on the brakes thing - I suspect it will eventually get them, I came across the guy's car previously and he had a modded Mk6 GTI.

A couple more of the Vossens with some very aggressive fitment - I'm not a white on white guy, but I'm probably not minding this:

What size wheels are you considering for your car? I like the idea of 19's to fill the wheel arches but I love the ride of the 18's so much I don't want to compromise that.

I've stuck with 18s for a few reasons - the ride comfort factor as you suggest, cheaper quality rubber, lighter wheels and better performance. I do like the look of 19s, but am more than happy with how the 18s sit, and IMO they can exaggerate the wheel arch gap rather than fill it.. I'm not planning on playing with suspension/springs any time soon.

I'm just going to be swapping the tyres straight across and stashing the Austins. If someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse I'd sell, but otherwise I'll just hold them for future resale on the car.

Another wheel I hadn't seen before, the Ispiri is a UK brand with some fairly aggressive wheel fitments - the above seems about as close to legal fitment as you'll get - without some work you'll be outside the guards. Nice looking range of wheels though, BMA Autosports which a few VWW people have used in the past with success are a dealer, a set of four of these are around $1,000 before freight, duties and taxes (on special).
