ET of 50 is required to make an 8.5" work on a MK7 correctly.
Guy, what rims are you running on the R18's GTI? I can't seem to find any VMR rims 18" x 8 or 8.5 ET50?

I think you are referring to the GTI fitted with VWR rims which Guy imports - which come in 18 x 8 ET45 (not to be confused with VMR).

The Nogaros are the standard 18 inch option on the European GTD - the 19s option are Santiagos a la GTI. Can't find an offset but would assume somewhere in the 49-51 range in keeping with standard OEM fitment. Not a bad looking wheel but might be tough to track down - not to be confused with TSW Nogaros or Rial Nogaros which are both completely different styles of wheel.

If you've got the cash spare then it certainly turns the R into one tough looking animal. Not a regular fan of stripe work but the tie in of wheels, lights and doors works a treat in this case - especially in black.

This is a TSI Comfortline running RS4 reps in 18 inch. The design doesn't look too bad on the Mk7 although the arch gap here looks wrong. The original thread on this car suggested it may have still been sitting high due to the transport blocks. Plenty of original and reps options in all kinds of specs on this wheel.

On our own MK7 GTI - For the track we run VWR 18" x 8"s & for the street we are running VWR 18" x 8.5" (VWR is short for Volkswagen Racing UK - otherwise known as Racingline).

I wonder how those would look on a Limestone Grey... I really like them.

Possibly respray the gloss black with matte graphite? Hmm..
