Almost certainly no - as I'd remember that (I have a knack for remembering really irrelevant things).
Plenty have with the Austins, so there are probably cars in the US wearing black on the Parkers/Dallas now - I'd lean towards a black finish, although what colour are the plastic trim pieces on the exterior - black or graphite?
If you want a cheap experiment could try this: 2018 VW GTI MK7.5 WHEELS DECALS for 18" wheels | shinegraffix.com
Clearly they aren't even game enough to find someone to try their product though as they offer up this effort as the sell pic:

Thanks Dutch.
Ha, that pic is a beauty!
Although I'm actually tempted to try some wheel wrap just to see what a black Parker looks like on my tornado red GTI. In general I love black wheels on red cars, but I'm not sure how the Parkers would look. Will try the US forums.
Wagon Wednesday!

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can offer some advice or help. I have a Golf R Mk7 wagon which has developed a crack in one of the standard Pretoria rims. Trying to source a second hand one is proving difficult, and VW want $2300 for a single new one! There are some for sale on gumtree, but I'm dubious about the quality. Anyone have any experience with them or know someone with a spare rim?
Cheers
Adam
Advice is watch out for potholes as the Pretoria’s are prone to cracking.
You can try and find someone selling individual rims but this will be tricky. You could also try wreckers.
They do come up for sale every now and then but generally only as sets and typically they are in the $2k-$3k ballpark for a set depending on tyres/condition.
Options are to either get the rim welded/repaired or buy a knockoff rep to complete your set but I’d personally change them to a decent aftermarket wheel rather than shell out $2300 at a dealers for a single rim.

Yep, I'd only be paying the dealer that price if you're absolutely desperate to complete a set again.
Second hand OEM sets are still stupidly inflated by sellers, so I'd be looking at:
1. Scouring the adverts just in case someone is being reasonable
2. Someone flogging off a set from a wrecked car per tigger73
3. Checking whether there is any hope of a repair
4. Maybe look at ECS Tuning or some of the other reputable sellers doing OEM wheels - yes it's a risk and costly from overseas but still beats an Aussie dealer's efforts
5. Going for a quality set of after market rims.. e.g. a strong OZ ST LM in 19 would be ~$3k
Then hang on to your 3 good wheels and hope to one day find a 4th for resale.. or defray the cost of replacement rims by finding three other poor bastards looking for a spare Pretoria.
Under no circumstances should you consider the crappy unbranded reps our dodgy wheel sellers flog here in Oz.
Still got 'stock' from a year ago.. so here we go for the Thursday selection:
