The Rotiform KPS or FLG or SPF in 18” are all under $1500 on eBay (shipped to Mel).

They’re heavy, but my 19” IND’s have taken a lot of pothole thumps - monkeysrus has bent 2 Pretoria’s!

Though BBS for $2k is a good option too

Yeah I understood the cast Rotiforms where massively heavy but pretty tough as nails.. plus a few of the newer designs look pretty ok as an everyday road wheel (vs. more of a show wheel).

Maybe you could run the FLGs mate..

Prefer the BBS SX (probably in black), then Rotiform FLG.
    SX is 18x8 ET44
    FLG is 18x8.5 ET??

Is there a good way to know or a calculator what the ET number will do to stance and fender clearance, or do I need to go in to a wheel store and get them fitted and test-driven?

There's a few decent ones around, I haven't got any handy but google will hit one. willtheyfit.com or similar is one.

18 x 8 ET44 is a reasonable safe fitment that is at least a bit further out than stock; you'd need to check on the Rotiforms but I have a feeling they're usually ET45 by default (custom by order) - basically the x 8.5 ET45 has become a bit of a default on the Mk7s for a good fitment.

Neuspeed are more conservative x 8 ET45; going beyond x 8.5 ET45 will mean something more aggressive and potentially needing fender or camber work to avoid rub if lowering or hard cornering.
