Between the 19x8 +45 and 19x8.5 +47 there is only going to be extra 4mm poke.

You wouldn't even notice it. And the 8.5 wide rim would fill the rear guards a lot better.

doesnt really help matters right now! I think if these were either the spec I ordered ie 19"x8" et45 or in a bright silver I would be having them fitted right now

They remind me of BBS SR's which are currently one of my favorite wheels for a euro car. So pretty!

They were designed as a winter wheel so are fairly chunky and quite heavy; the flipside is they're still a quality wheel and are one of the cheapest genuine BBS wheels you can get your hands on.

There's a couple of posts in this thread with Mk7s wearing them.

Yeah they are quite heavy but I have a soft spot for them so I overlook such things haha. From a performance perspective, the OZ would be much better with its lighter weight and judging by how open it is, I assume would have a bit more clearance for a BBK compared to the BBS

    Understood.

IIRC the BBS were around $400 or so less than the OZs in 18s; they also both come in decent offsets for the Mk7. The SRs come in a diamond cut finish which looks OEMish in terms of how a lot of VW wheels are as well. If you're ever looking for either set drop me a PM.

Cheers, might take you up on that in the future. I'm still on stock 16" biolines (machined face, grey back) on a mk5 Jetta but when my RE002s run out of tread, I'll seriously consider upgrading. Btw excellent work on this thread, I'm sure many mk7 owners appreciate your efforts!

Anyone know what's the cheapest way to ship rims from the US? I'm in no hurry so don't care if it takes 2mths +. Just need something cheaper than the US$660 quoted to me from the rim website for 2-5 day delivery to aus.

Anyone heard of or used these guys?
