There is a permanent group buy on Neuspeed wheels in the USA with details previously posted here: The Official Mk7 Wheel Thread . Just a reminder these are a decent quality light weight wheel, a few different styles, finishes and sizes available and these can take the VW centre cap for an OEM finish.

£2,400 is a bit more than the £2,799 I've seen quoted from a German dealer online (ex freight and duties/taxes) so becomes very dear after-market and not worthwhile.

I think the Leggeras look pretty good, I ended up with the first set locally and haven't seen them on to many web pics yet. I think the 18s are fine and have a lot of upside, ideally I'd just want to reduce the wheel gap but as I've stated many times before on here I am loathe to upset the Mk7's ride. Going 19 will exaggerate the gap even more on the GTI without a drop (the R a bit less so as it is 5mm lower in the first place).

I feel your love on OZs, per my sig I ran ST LMs in 18s on my Mk6!

Keep us updated on your progress and post up the end results.
will do and thanks for your input, very useful thread this and the forums seam good also.

Note these wheels have been powder coated black, think of them in silver and they will appear more familiar.

19 x 9 et52, With 35mm drop. Would that work without arch mods or too close?

You might be too close to the strut as you're going around 12.7mm wider on the inner and outer of the wheel.

The extra width on the outside should be ok/marginal depending on how much the drop cambers the wheels - it's 16mm poke over a GTI wheel which was borderline in previous discussions in this thread. However Avdo is correct, there is a real issue on the inner clearance which will be 22mm in (compared to GTI) - IIRC that's well over acceptable, admittedly I'm going by Mk6 standards though.

I think you'd need to be more like ET40, which is probably more common to in x 9 wheels, but you're then at 25mm poke on a GTI which will definitely require work on the front, and probably the rear as well.

There are cars running as aggressively as that on this thread, just need to invest to make it work.

(Note I know you're not in a GTI but my visuals/measurements are based on my own car so I find it helps me to reference back to that)
