However that isn't borne out in the numbers as the CH seems to come out around 7.5% heavier:

    CH-R 19 x 8.5 ET48 5 x 112 24.2lbs
    CH 19 x 8.5 ET35 5 x 112 26.08lbs

The offset does make a tiny difference so I've just rounded the above calculation down to 7.5%.

Throw in the better looks of the CH-R for the Mk7 and I'd go that way.

Or because most Australians don't like paying for wheels and Italian/German quality, save a packet and at least buy a decent set of reps and pick up the VMR 810s which are for all intents and purposes a close look to the BBS, use flow formed construction and can be had under $2k locally.

Or get a better price on OZ.

Or go for practical and cheaper 18s plus HLT and buy mine FFS.
Hi Dutch, where have you seen VMR 810's under $2,000 ?

If they were 19s they'd be a tad more expensive.

I'm sure the market would be greater for the Mk7 guys in 19s, although as a set of light track wheels they make a lot of sense still.

But yeah, I'm a little surprised at the lack of interest at a minimum $1,000 less than replacement for an as new barely driven set of OZs.

I will live vicariously through the thread and won't go after market again..

My bad, looks like the locals have finally adjusted their pricing for the AUD drop. $2,300 now seems the going rate for 810s in 19s.

That's still solid buying - I'd choose 15 inch steelies than risk the crap from the el cheapo joints aka St oi oi oi.

Can't say I have ever heard of them - I did look them up, they seem to be mainly in the Falcodore space judging by their pics.

Speaking of Falcodore wheels, pretty sure every second V8 ute runs a version of these

(Side note: I like Falcodores, it's always cool to see one overseas and hmm that design would actually look ok on a Mk7!)

I couldn't see the 15% off bit, but by the time you add freight and customs to these that is going to push them into OZ territory, plus these are CHs
Sent you a PM re: the OZ quote.

It'd be about 500 each free shipping. I'd get each of the 4 wheels sent to a different address with a different name to get around gst, customs etc..

Anyway it doesn't matter now, i'm going to be in the USA next september, i'll just bring wheels back with me
