That makes the black OZs a pretty sharp deal.. but if you're not feeling them just get the graphite - otherwise you'll be off changing them again in three months.
Lol very true! It's a pity you can't rent alloys as I'd be changing all the time

found this pic of some 8.5x18 xa's on an R,must admit for me the design of these alloys does make these seam very large?

Tell me about it, I do get bored easily wheel wise - but I suspect that's a by-product of this thread.

Once again I'm not quite there, but I don't mind it - combined with the VW cap it starts to feel OEM, or at least VAG given its similarity to Audi designs (which I noted in the original post, quite a few A3s wearing these on the web). I think they gain their feel of size because the outline remains black and fades into the tyre. They look more purposeful like this.. in 19s I suspect they'd end up looking more show wheel than performance wheel, and I prefer the latter generally.

A good budget option for your mark 7 Golf -
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.3 Alloy Wheels Set Of 4 | Demon Tweeks

There are other options in the same Team Dynamics range that may appeal. As xxtrickzxx states Team Dynamics/Pro Race manufacture wheels for VWR, the only difference is the stamp on the wheel.

The above wheels will be around $1450 delivered in AU from Demon Tweeks in today's money/exchange rates. Seems they may only be available in silver and black at that price though.

Dutch you are doing an excellent job with this wheel thread. My favourite 'pictures' so far have been OZ Racing Ultraleggera in 19" in silver on a Lapiz blue and Limestone Grey Rs.

I think it's also cause there's some reasonable stretch in the tyres being used too so the sidewall height appears less, hence makes the rim look/feel larger.

The kudos are appreciated, I've noticed a few links to us both in the USA and Europe so it's nice to see the world picking up and following us too. Hopefully a few international guys start posting their setups so we don't miss anything.

I like your thumbs up for the Ultraleggeras of course, I was close to dealing on these but OZ had just released the Leggera HLT at the time and I decided to grab the new kid on the block.

I present further evidence that the Cadiz at least works on the wagon:

You may recall that I absolutely hated the Cadiz but I must say that it has been growing on me. Perhaps it's the lack of sleep from uni exams or maybe the wheel design is more of an acquired taste, but I no longer intensely dislike it. It has nothing on the Pretoria however.

Would like to see more mk7s on Rays though. I think that many of the Rays wheels work better on the mk7 with its straighter and more pronounced lines than on the mk5/6.

It (somewhat) suits the black and chrome of this wagon in particular, although I think they should have gone an inch smaller on the rims (these look like 19s?). I still think it's a rather ****e style though.

I hear ya, I think the Cadiz are working well on that wagon - particularly as it has the chrome highlights to tie it all in. Interestingly it's an NZ car where I doubt they'd have an option to add them, so either the dealer had a set floating around cheap off an R or the owner bought them and had them fitted on delivery.

The Cadiz are still way better than the Santiagos on the PP..

Hang on, are you actually a fake ID for Avdo and Mikey?

Yeah these would be the same 19s we have, not the 18s from Europe.

I've always been an advocate for 18s notwithstanding that the last sets I was looking at a couple of months ago were actually 19s.
