I ordered a fully optioned GTI too, it's on the ship called Tombarra apparently which is meant to dock in Sydney on the 31st of August for a Mid september delivery in Brisbane.
I don't know how I'll manage to sleep until then!

I had the same story from my dealer. They said that they would not accept any MY16 cars until some movement of the MY15 happened. Not displaying or giving out too much information, however if you walk in and ask then they will assist.

Actually to be honest I didn't even try, they came back to me with a cost that was smack on what I was going to TRY and haggle them to so I was happy (62.5k drive away w sunroof).

Nice prices guys, I'm looking at getting back into VAG again with the Wolfsburg hatch- with sunroof at $60.5k seems doable.

It's currently in transit as we speak, had one on the boat in that was the exact spec I was looking for. Dealer said it will be on the shores mid-late Sept but they currently don't have a date for the Wolf's that they can give me as to when VW said they can be 'released for delivery'.

The ship Tombarra which is carrying A load of MY16 has docked in Fremantle last night, currently unloading before heading to Sydney to unload the rest.
