Wont regret it. Those guys are awesome and will have it installed for you in 30 minutes! Plus it looks awesome and adds something extra to the cabin without being tacky!

    Hi all.

I'm new here but what better place for my second post... Ordered my Black GTI PP with drivers assist on 8/11 and all going well I should be picking it up on 20/12
It's been interesting to read people's thoughts on the PP version but for me it was a no-brainer once I had driven both. Granted I will rarely use the benefit of the front diff but the whole package was worth the money. My only regret is that I couldn't option it with a sunroof, which seems rather asinine if you ask me.

Picked up the new R yesterday and driving back up north from the sunny coast. What a car, drives so much better than the mark 6.

The oil temp does sit a little higher I think, is that normal? Around 110

DSG feels much better and the pick up and power increase is definitely noticeable.

    What a great car.

Congrats. Had my white pp 4 weeks now. Brilliant.

Yep been a few discussions here re the merits/value of PP package. Each to their own.

No regrets. Happy with the car.

Hey everyone. I'm new here! Received my Golf 90Tsi Comfortline a week ago. After test driving so many other cars this was the winner. Looking to lower and add some bigger wheels in the near future. Happy driving.

Congrats, that car will come up looking a treat with your proposed mods - plenty of research already done for you on the wheel thread.

Picked mine up on Saturday and I'm still smiling. Biggest surprise for me has been the Adaptive Cruise Control, it's so good to not have to be on and off it as traffic speeds fluctuate.
Also, my VCDS cable turned up today after I ordered it last Wednesday night. Very happy with that!

    Good morning everyone,
Ordered a Red GTI PP with leather & DAP. Due to arrive in Newcastle early March. Looking for a paint protection package once I've picked it up, any tips for the Newcastle & Great Lakes region.

Last day 2014, we bought my wife a new Golf 90 TSI with the the DSG. Pondering over the paint colours (her current car is Mk 5 Trendline with Comfortline wheels in United Grey) we looked at Limestone Grey and Deep Black Pearl Effect. Liked the look of the former, quite a bit of metal flake in it. But the Deep Black is very deep, you don't really see what colour the car is when you're driving it. SWMBO liked the black and I've always thought I'd like a black car one day... even if it's a lot of work to keep clean. This car is on the water due mid Jan. It's compliance plate will be 2015. Thought about some different wheels, you can upgrade to the 6 spoke Tangis 15" alloys for about $900 using the standard 15" tyres. But be blowed if I can find an image online of a Mk 7 with these fitted..

Have seen an Audi S3 with alloys and a set of those on Ebay just under $2000. But 18". So might just go with the standard wheels and then look later on for some 16" Comfortline or 17" Highline wheels. Alloys are a bit of work to keep clean so steel wheels and the hub caps might be the simple solution. And the higher profile standard tyres give a nice ride.....

I bought a Polo from the same dealership just on 3 years ago so had a fair idea on the test drive route. Like the Polo, the 90 TSI just wafts along. About all I might like would be a DAB radio... Yes the Comfortline has some nice extra features (drawers under the seats, side mirrors that dip when reversing, rain sensitive wipers) but think I prefer the Trendline seat fabric and the $$$ difference between the models is considerable.

So we've got the option to sell the old Golf or trade it in. Not a great trade in price, but no hassles and the changeover wasn't too bad.

The old Golf is in very nice nick, the new one will be coming to a very good "VW" home.
