Finally got my 90TSI yesterday afternoon and it's now sitting in it's new home. Paid for Aspen alloys but also got a full set of floor mats (the premium textile variety), door sill protection (black/silver, front and back) and a full tank of fuel and have done about 100k's already (and the distance-to-empty is still going up !!). Drives nicely and is a big upgrade in comfort and driveability from my old Barina...

Wondering if anyone can help - I'd like to be armed with as much info as possible before approaching the dealership.
I'm considering a new 90tsi DSG golf and have noticed the price is currently $24,990 drive away. I'm wondering if anyone has gotten a better deal on a base golf or if there's room to move in their promo prices. I remember 12 months ago when the press were brutal on the VW DSG issues, some managed to get 90tsi DSGs for $23-24K drive away.
Any input would be appreciated
Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated. The checklist from "veew" especially.
I hope things don't get awkward next week, the delivery co-coordinator person has said the usual procedure is car will be shown to us for inspection *after* I hand over bank cheque.
Also I wonder if a short test drive with perhaps a demo of the DAP option is out of the question.
Well,it seems that Golf Rs are very thin on the ground.
I was told today it could be April/May 2015.
Feeling disappointed, but it is VW manufacturing Golf Rs in a drip feeding fashion to the Aussie market.
This would be the longest wait for a new car I have ever experienced.
I have ordered a 90tsi DSG and got floor matts, tint, metallic paint, full tank, premium plates for the $24990. Pick it up tomorrow.
