Thanks, maybe I would have more luck if I tried to work it out during the day and not when it's dark

Fantastic little car. Now we are a VW family. Will be selling the wifes mazda 2 . Pick up end of april or earlier when we present them the bank cheque.

Congrats. A pick up at end of April sounds like your car is on the same boat as a few of us here?

Ironically I'm booting my mrs out of a car almost identical to yours and giving here a Mazda (CX5) so I can get back into a VW.

Ideally we were just going to wait for the settlement of our house, but when the golf comfortline is at that price, Too good to refuse. The dealer had a look at the current stock or stock that was arriving via boat very soon. We put the deposit down to get it at that price. Just lucky its a short wait. I had to wait a long time for my polo to be built!!!

My GTI was unloaded in Fremantle on Sunday 30/03 from the Grand Pavo, not long to go now. Any issues, other than Led rego lights not fitted with Bi-xenons, I should check on before delivery ?

Make sure you have the new improved wiper blades - they'll know what you're talking about. The existing ones don't clear the area in line of the drivers view too well. Something to do with the centre wiper springs not being strong enough

I've had my blades replaced once with those, it seemed like they had resolved the issue initially but after a while I noticed the smear returning, albeit not as bad. The service centre said there have not been any further updates so far so I didn't bother getting another set fitted.

Ordered a fully optioned wagon last week. Build week 17, expected delivery July or August I'm told. Still hoping I have a solution to get the Discover Pro in there aftermarket by then, preferably with maps (colour MFD would be nice, too).

Going to miss my 118TSI wagon, especially the sports style leather seats and the steering wheel (hoping the seats don't cause any back problems with the lower back adjustments missing)... but I must say, the new one drives so beautifully and smoothly.

Edit: just looking at the spec sheet, they haven't included floor mats!! I forgot these weren't standard. Sigh!

Check Lucas R's GTI build thread - there's a mob in WA doing some very good tailored mats at decent pricing.

    Hi All!

I'm happy to announce that I am expecting delivery (late Apr, early May) of a 103TSI Highline Wagon with DA, Leather, Roof, Luggage Compartment Tray, Loading Sill Guard and a full tank of fuel in Limestone Grey.

Did I get a good deal? Who knows, but I guess you need to balance how much you can be bothered haggling and how soon you want the car. I went between two dealers only and one of them said it was their final price.

Anybody want to buy an AH Astra

    Cheers,

    Greg.
