There was a unit sitting over at audiupgrades at sunshine coast when I last had a chance to visit his workshop, it's been there for a few months. Sadly the protection on the unit is pretty advanced.

I won't be surprised if the Highline and GTI get the 8inch screen standard in a MY15/16 update, but right now you can only get the 8incher in the Skoda Octavia. It is really an amazing unit, zero lag and very fluid animation.

Took delivery of my new (and first) Golf GTI on Saturday. Stock - apart from tints - DSG in Reflex Silver.
Am quite pleased with myself haha.

Finding the acceleration a bit tricky as my previous car (which shall remain a mystery although her nickname was The Thumper) was a heavy 4 speed auto and lumbered. The GTI is considerably more urgent. I've already done a chirpie by accident (I promise) going around a corner! Also, the technology is freaking the sh*t out of me!! LOL

Guess I should chime in here, I pick up my new Golf in 2 days time. I wasn't bothered with leather, sunroof or driver assistance and it doesn't bother me that the stereo and satnav aren't as good as some guys would like. I just wanted a white diesel Golf with xenon headlights and a tow bar. When I ordered it on 3 January I was just lucky that the one I wanted was due to arrive in Oz 3 days later, but tow bars not currently available. Have previously owned a 2006 Jetta 147FSI and wife currently drives a 2011 Eos. Happy days.

I would have bought if you could Select the sunroof as an option.
I love sunroofs and can't buy a car without one.
