Last time there waited 30 mins for a salesman despite having an appointment in the end receptionist gave me the keys and said go for a drive. Did deal with Rex Gorell over phone and they delivered the car to my work in Melbourne...

Boardie 19, I was lucky I got the last dsg with no other options in stock in Australia so only waited couple of weeks. Otherwise would have been 6 month wait.
Couldn't agree more. They had a car in stock that I was going to buy. Agreed on a price, only for the Sales Manager to do a backflip right at the end and say he'll only do that price for a factory order car as he wants to get more money from this car he had in stock. Fair to say I went and placed my factory order with somebody else!Quote:

I have had nothing but a positive experience from the last 2 GTI's I have bought from there.
Both times I bought the cars from there I didn't have to wait long to get served, when I asked for test drives, there was no issue. When I bought the MK6 I was allowed to take it then and there for a test drive.
When I bought the MK7 I had to book an appointment as I went after work and they were closing.
After the deal was done, I had no issue with my dealer fitting the LED tail lights for me (when I asked him, he said sure, No probs, and this was post contract signing). When I found the car was fitted with the V1 version Nav software (after over a week of owning the car) I went and saw the dealer and he changed them the V2 without any hassles.
Plus he always responded to my emails post purchase. And in a timely matter.
Service department great as well. On my MK 6 I had an issue with my rear wiper blades breaking. Went the service department without booking an appointment and they helped me then and there by replacing the part. And every time I go there I get served straight away and they always make we feel like I am important (the way it should be).
So yeah, I am surprised about all the negative feedback but I will go back there for my 3rd car, if I end up getting a MK8.
I had a really good experience from mcgrath VW in Liverpool. It was a pleasure dealing with them and their after sales service has been great.Quote:
