Our white wagon looks better....
Even with the Mk6 dash mat.
Looks awesome! There's something captivating about these Gti's
Current: Mk7 GTI, DSG, White, Leather, Driver assist, Sunroof, Xenons
Previous: MY10 Golf 118 tsi, Candy White, Sports Pack, Corn Leather, MDI.
I have ordered GTI in 6-speed manual, arriving mid-April. Nearly everyone posting seems to have the DSG. Does anyone have the manual? If so, how do you find it?
Does anyone have any opinions on DSG vs Manual and what prompted your choice?
Cheers

Went the 6 speed DSG w diesel. Never chance a 7 speed again. So far so good. Eco mode quite strange to drive to, but will perservere....
Thanks! Found a few of his posts including the review.
I don't really want to reignite a manual vs DSG debate, but found it curious that so many Mk7 GTI owners had chosen the latter. I think both cars are likely to be a fabulous drive; for me it is more about engagement with the car - I drive 80km per day through varying highway and semi-urban conditions, and my current (dodgem) car is a 2005 Toyota Prius. Needless to say I am quite excited about the GTI! (Could this be the most spectacular improvement ever....?)
CT69 I can beat that - my GTI is on the same boat and I've just had to send a 1991 Toyota Camry off to the wreckers!
Jimi, my condolences. I used to have a 96 Camry, which was a much better drive than the Prius (described by Top Gear "as exciting to drive as catching pneumonia"). I hope our new Golfs give us both much pleasure.
