Picking up my R on Monday! Keen as.
Accepted a quote for $48K for a Novated lease on a GTI PP with DA + Leather due March 2015
Hi all,
Long time reader, first time posting here.
Just got back from the dealer after putting deposit down for DSG Lapiz blue R fully optioned. Pretty excited (except having to wait til May for delivery, though timing works out as I'm transitioning from a company car around then).
While I was being shown the vehicle details, the salesman went through the MY15.5 changes that will be applicable to my order.
I didn't have a long time to read into significant detail, though from what I remember:
GTI PP - sunroof option available.
Golf R - Leatherette insert in front doors, replacing fabric/trimming. Could perhaps be for all cars optioned with leather.
Driver assistance pack (all Golfs) now $1200. Includes blind spot indicators on wing mirrors + rear parking advisory system. (When reversing out of nose forward car park. The system recognises vehicles moving behind car - additional to the already existent proximity system)
There was also a section on a 'luxury pack' for highline Golfs $4,990. Which included: sunroof, leather and bixenon headlights. Not sure if it included GTI??
From memory this was from vehicles made from 3/2015??
Please don't quote me on this specifically. Though I can confirm the GTI PP sunroof and DAP blind spot addition.
No mention of sound/navigation changes
I had a quick look through the threads and couldn't see any MY15.5 changes details. Apologies if this has already been covered. Just caught up in the excitement of new car (in a few months)

I'm kind if hoping the sat nav will be a software update that will be applied to existing owners vehicles. I want to buy soon and not wait for a march build + 2 or so months to get the car. I would be very pissed if the discovery pro suddenly was put into MY15.5 vehicles.
I wouldn't have minded a sunroof though.
Get one with the sunroof only thing I would have liked is that the sunroof could be completely closed off when not in use.
It is kind of like a sun shade that closes the roof, so on really hot days, I would imagine it would still be hot, but I'll wait and see
