    I had to call myself just for a damn update.

    Cancelled the order & now I'm back on the new car market.

    Can anyone recommend a good dealer in NSW that isn't Five Dock (terrible, refer above) or North Shore (not price competitive)?
    Sorry to hear about your troubles.

    I have to admit, I was a little miffed when I read that you were getting your car in two weeks, given my comfortline wagon won't be arriving until closer to mid-October. Perhaps it was too good to be true after all.

    It does sound like you are getting sub-par service, however.

    Thanks mate.

    I could have the one with satnav in a week but I just cant justify the extra $950. They won't budge on the price either.

    Will just have a think about things for awhile and see where we go from here.

    Not good, don't blame you. Especially when the Mk7's sat nav is worth no more than $9.50.

    Avoid Denlo at Parramatta, apart from being somewhat clueless and overly arrogant they are part of the Inchcape group which also owns North Shore. I too tried Barlow at Five Dock and walked away wondering if the sales staff were interested in selling cars or if I was an interruption to their social lives.

    I have bought 2 Golfs through Buckles at Brookvale and was very surprised with the service at Barlows at Mascot. Unfortunately with VW's supply is supply, there are X number of cars available in each shipment and all the dealers compete for the stock.

    How did you find the name of the ship so that you could track it? Surely dealers don't know this sort of detail do they. I have ordered another brand (ahem) of European car and tracking its shipment from Poland (I think) would give me a better ETA.

    They invested $0.05 of that on the voice pronunciation.

    Absolutely the most expensive navigation I have ever purchased (nav-pro) and also the worst voice navigation I have ever experienced. A free app guidance can do better. VW put very very very very very very little effort into the voice guidance.

    Well I just placed an order on a fully optioned R (manual) in Lapiz Blue... Not a single one available in that configuration (apparently) so looks to be a factory order. Half hoping it doesn't get built until Jan 2015 (delivered late Feb I guess) as requested on my contract given that current orders will only land in December. Anyone actually know how legitimate these "6-7 month" wait times are?

    Go here https://offices.2wglobal.com/offices...uickSearchPage and put your vin as the cargo ID. It'll give you the ship is on which can be tracked using various online tracking sites such as Marine Traffic
