MK7 Golf Wagon Highline TDI R Line

So on Saturday I order my MK7 Golf MY15 Highline TDI with R Like pack, anyone else here grabbing one of these? I decided on Pure White with electric panoramic roof and Driver assist.

Due for delivery early December, can't believe in have to wait that long.

They look sharp, I may be in the market for 1, my R a write-off and my wife is pushing for a sensible replacement! Is the R-Line a 2k premium on the wagon as well?

Yeah, but what you get for that $2k is worth every cent in my opinion. And they do look awesome don't they....

I don't log enough miles but a TDI R Line wagon with a tune to bring it in line with what a GTD would be putting out would be a great unit to own. Ideally that configuration with the GTI engine would be perfect, but I guess that's what the Octavia RS is for.

Per the wheel thread the R Line with the Durbans looks sharp, ideally with a mild drop, although you do risk the fantastic Mk7 ride quality.

True Dutch, trouble with the RS diesel (or petrol for that matter) is the ridiculous wait times (fail Skoda Australia)

Good point, those wait times remind me of Mk6 GTI wait times in 2010.

Might be hard dropping from the R to the 103 though - at least a GTI gives you plenty in traffic or country. Biggest issue now is being forced to buy PP to access xenons, even as much as I hate the halogens I'd still save my coin and use the spare cash for a set of wheels and a stage 1 tune.

You can buy ours, now ex Perth. Sunroof, driver assist, black leather, white paint, 4500 km. Pity it is in the dealer with an electrical fault that may take months to fix, due to the lack of a tool to detach the roof lining. Not happy. Should have got the Hyundai I thought didn't match the Golf.

I'd suggest the Octavia RS TDI wagon, about the same price, faster and loaded with more kit. But delivery times on it are getting a bit silly :\

I've been reading about your issues.

Unfortunately you've probably found the one area where the Hyundai will generally trump the Golf - reliability/warranty.

Hopefully it gets sorted sooner rather than later and you can get back to realising you bought the much better vehicle.
