Just had a look at the app - yes 400 credits.
Warning that it is only compatible with Drivers assistance A5 control unit software number 3Q0980654H.
OBDeleven don't recommend or encourage using it as it may be illegal in some countries or the function is not fully supported.

Reach out to OBDeleven, noting the time difference in Europe, so you won't get any response until Monday night at the earliest.

    Hmm.........I'm surprised too!

OBD11 has been able to make EEPROM changes for some time now - but it's very clunky and at least from a user perspective, it's ONE memory address at a time!!

Even at a cost of 400 Credits, I'm very surprised that the One-Click-App (OCA) has the smarts to detect the required flash-file, then to automatically upload the parameter-file - all without ANY user intervention!!

And in any event, a Audi A5 has a MLB platform build whereas OP's 2018 golf Alltrack has a MQB platform - it's beyond belief that a 400 Credit OCA didn't flag this difference during the compliance testing phase of operation and refuse to implement!!

Anyway, the most impacting aspect of OP's problem is that OCAs don't disclose the changes that they make - which means understanding how to revert values back to their original settings is very much a guess (even if OP has knowledge of how the tweak is manually coded).

My hunch is that the ONLY practical way to address this problem is by contacting the OBD11 help-desk because ONLY the deities on the OBD11 mother-ship know what changes are made. The rest of us may have good intentions - but we are just guessing (no offense intended)

If OP has contacted the help-desk without reply, then more vigorous attempts are needed- with stronger (but polite) words about the accountability of OBD11 fix this problem because they have taken the money!!

But perhaps the most important lesson from this case to all OBD11 users is the resounding message: never use OCAs unless you are prepared to accept the near-impossible task of unwinding coding changes that are not disclosed!!

As I've said before - Using OCA's is like rolling-the-dice: sometimes you win and sometimes you lose! And extending this analogy - the more that you gamble with OCAs - the greater the chance of losing (it's just a matter of luck and time)!!

    In OP's case - it's

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.

Yeah done that, haven’t heard a thing from any human support. They also have a new 200 credit app called Lane Assist Extension Time too! I probably would’ve done that one, didn’t see it. The OBDeleven apps shouldn’t kill it! and take your credits plus not work and I can’t deactivate as it’s saying it’s Active. It’s 10:30am in Europe I reached out to human support again and still no answer. Be warned people don’t try these apps, could kill ya Lane Assist.

Now I might have to grovel to VW dealer to reset all Lane assist features $$$$$

Can you post the details of your A5 unit? Like the screenshot of the info and any error codes ?

You seem to be of a misunderstanding about control units.....the reference is to the A5 control unit, nothing to do with an Audi A5 vehicle.
    Cheers

As I said, the self test part of the OCA should have stopped implementation as soon as it recognized that you were attempting to force coding changes for a MLB platform car into a MQB platform car (even if this vehicle has a 3Q0980654H module). Did the OCA warn that the changes might not be compatible for this car?

As for grovelling to a dealer - I'm not sure if you are aware that VW keeps a complete copy of the software on every MQB platform car the rolls-off the assembly-line on its central server at Ingolstadt, Germany. The world-wide database is called FAZIT (Fahrzeuginformationen und zentrales Identifikationstool =Vehicle information and central identification tool)

So, probably at a cost approaching the annual budget of a small African nation - your grovelling request should be doable!

EDIT: thanks @dov_777 - yes, my bad!!! Of course reference to "A5" was the hex address of the module on the CAN network - not "Audi A5"

Thanks for your support. I’ve emailed their support help desk a more stronger email, asking for some sort of feedback! You can have an app available for Joe average to use to stuff ya car.

**** that’s not sounding promising either. So literally it’s a lemon because a stupid app.

Can an VW ecu reprogrammer fix the issue? This is very stressful.
