    New features that you discovered...Good/Bad

I would like to start a thread on features that are useful or you didn't like so other and add to the list and try out. Please add to the list..

Here are a few I found for our 110TSI:

    1. Driver and passenger door's white strips has an adjustable back light, looks great at night.
    2. keyless start/stop: system lets you know when the remote battery is low.
    3. ACC - does not have the traditional cruise control mode, where the car will stay at a constant speed regardless of the speed on the car infront. This is a good thing because you don't want to mix up the mode. However, the car slow down to the car infront and you need to speed up to overtake.
    4. static cornering lights, the fog light turns on at low speed when you cornering and indicating.
    5. Update GPS maps online
    6. Car is running normal once started, even the remote is not inside the vehicle.
    7. LED interior lights, nice but not as bright as the halogen lights
    8. Only one fan mode for climate control mode.
    9. Only can open the bonnet when the driver's door is open.

I noticed the wipers adjust their position after the car takes off.

I think it's so that the wipers rubber strip isn't pressured on the same angle, presumably to lengthen its life.

Will check it out, havent seen it yet, maybe it is a GTI thing.

On the note of the wipers, push down once after stopping the engine to put it into service mode, for washing, changing etc. Took me a few goes when I had a VW for the first time.

The bonnet release is done like that so an idiot cant open it when in motion
Adaptive CC is the best thing since sliced bread and is far better than normal Cruise
Most VW's that have cornering lights are separate and not the fogs.

Hillbilly, I agree with you, the VW features are for the better and well thought of.
I love the new ACC too, just need to change lane before my car slows down to the speed of the slower car infront.

congratulation on your new car. I too loves the Xenon however, it packaged with the sunroof. If you do alot night driving or in very dark areas then Xenon would be worth it. Xenon gives you more and clearer lights. I didn't go for the option this time because we not use our car much at night, i think we are getting old. However, you are right xenon is well worth it.

How do you adjust the white light strips on the driver and passenger front doors?

You can only change brightness, it's done through the entertainment screen. Go to "Cars", "Settings", "Lights" and it's in there as ambient lighting I think.
