I had the drivers front quarter window replaced as the rubber had started to disintegrate in the corner when I bought the car...

I know its meant to be a daily that I'm less attached to but it still bugged me and I'm glad I got it done...

it also bugged me that there was a hole in the glove box where the old head unit used to be so thought I try a universal head unit delete cubby to see if it solved the problem. make that my OCD problem...

    like a glove...

I scanned the car after replacing the head unit and was pleasantly surprised that I only have one error code. I've done some googling and it doesn't sound possible to get rid of it but if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears please...

another cheap but cheerful upgrade I think. it started like this...

    AliExpress to the rescue...

yes its a bit a bit narrower but it think it looks better for the sake of a few bucks...

I don't mind admitting i've stolen this upgrade plus more to come from Lucas gti. his is a lot better spec'd from factory and is actually for sale on this site...

I have one of those too, they are technically for manual cars, hence not as wide as before. They just do not seem to make them at all OEM for RHD automatic cars, just the plain plastic ones.

I see sweet, wide ones on LHD automatic cars but they don't work on RHD vehicles.

I guessed it was for 3 pedals as it had this photo on the advert...

I couldn't resist going a bit lower and fitted eibach springs. I used the photos below for the torque settings on the rear. thought I'd post them in case it helps someone else. the fronts were done at a shop as I was feeling lazy and I wanted a wheel alignment also...

I thought the wheels looked a bit lost with the new lows so I changed those out too. I had them ordered to a tyre shop for fitting...

only 1/2" wider and a slightly different offset moves them out about 12mm...

did a weekend away fully loaded as a road test...

4 adults, luggage on the roof and a dog in the boot. it handled it no wuckers...
