fitted some slip on exhaust tips, before photo...
after photo. not a major difference but it was the look I wanted so I'm pretty happy with it...
and you can't really tell from the from the back or side view unless you look hard enough...

Looks good. What exhaust tips did you use? Are you enjoying the GTI so far?
thanks mate, just some cheap ones off aliexpress...
I haven't driven it loads but its nice to have a car that does the daily duties well and still has some performance and character...
can you recommend any other worthwhile upgrades that I haven't stolen from your gti already please...
Changed the shifter and swapped out the usb ports…
Ruby approves…

has anyone had experience in doing this. below is the kit i'm thinking about buying...

my first oil change on a mk7. what a piece of cake, it couldn't have been easier. looks like it was due too...
I wish the same could be said for the plug change. what a wrestle trying to remove the coils, I thought I was going to pull a couple of them in half until they finally let go...
next is gearbox and diff which I suspect is not going to be much fun either...
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
Yes the oil changes are nice and easy - no need to remove oil pan cover etc. I never fully trusted the weird sump bolt....but it never leaked (always used a new one).
As for the ignition coils, yes they are a pain to remove but as mentioned above, its easier if the engine is still warm.
