    Welcome to VWW's reference thread for VCDS tweaks associated with the mkVII chassis.

    This is a quick-find-facility for actual VDCS tweak instructions related to mk7 vehicles.

    To be effective, this thread needs to be kept clean of other VCDS related material like general discussions and questions. The place for this other material is VWWatercooled's thread:
    The first set of posts in this thread has been reserved for links to VCDS instructions from other forums and from tweaks that have been posted on VWW. This information will be updated periodically. If you have a link that you want to add to these first set of posts, PM the details to me.

    This is a collaborative thread, so forum members are invited to add their own posts giving details of their favourite VCDS tweaks. When posting to this thread, please ensure that the dialogue is kept short and to-the-point. Also, try to avoid duplication if a previous post has already identified the same tweak.

    In addition, and purely as a suggestion, if your post is a pointer to a URL link, consider using the following format:
    Tweak Category: (i.e. Lights, Driver Convenience, Instrumentation, Engine/Transmission/Brakes, etc)
    Tweak Name: (A brief description of what the tweak does)
    URL Link: (use the "URL paste" function provided by VWW)
    Comments-if needed: but keep this short (less is more)

    Finally, please remember that all the usual caveats apply to these tweaks: You are the only person that is liable for any tweaks that you do and neither VWWatercooled, or the authors for the tweaks cited in this thread, or I accept any responsibility for the information provided.

    Daytime Running Lights- turn off/on via media screen
    Daytime Running Lights - turn off/on via handbrake
    Daytime Running Lights - remain ON when turn signal "blinks"
    Daytime Running Lights - dim when turn signal "blinks" (thanks bobcrusader)
    Daytime Running Lights - acknowledgement flash with lock/unlock (OBD11)
    LED Number Plate
    Coming Home Lights
    "Blinkers" - change cycles
    Fog Lights - Combine with High Beam Lights
    Incandescent Tail Lights - add Brake function to inner lights
    LED Tail Lights - add Brake function to inner lights

    Single Sided Parking Lights (SSPL)- Enable SSPLs (thanks dmc_)
    3rd Brake Light - Various Tweaks (thanks Morde)
    Outer Tail lights- illuminate when hatch opened (thanks harisg)
    DV52-Tails (for incandescent taillight assemblies)
    Low-beam + Parking lights (for incandescent taillight assemblies)
    Footwell Lighting enhancement - Hearing impaired aid for turn signals
    Rear Turn Signal lamps - Pace Car operation with Hazard warning lights (LED tails)
    DRL - Coming Home/Leaving Home (without Low-beam lamps)
    Rear fog light - operate with High-beam "flash"
    interior lights - gradually illuminate on/off (thanks Fashionci)

    Air Recirculation - automate
    Soundakator - adjust volume
    Auto RainClose - activate
    Traffic Information (TMC) - activate
    Discover media/pro "nag screens" - deactivate
    Seat Belt Warning - deactivate
    Lock/Unlock - alarm beep
    Lock/Unlock - acknowledgement without alarm horn fitted
    Ignition-on alarm when driver's door open - Disable
    Fan Speed Indicator - display on "auto" mode
    Window Comfort Opening/Closing with key-fob
    Enable WLAN on Discover Pro MIB1 (thanks Chillout)- note warning message above for Hex5F tweaks
    MIBII - Enable Off Road Display(thanks Morde)- note warning message above for Hex5F tweaks

    Instrument cluster -Increase illumination during daylight
    Instrument cluster -Increase illumination of clock dials during daylight
    Brake light mimic -for LED on Hazard Warning Light switch
