if its like letting the clutch out to fast on a manual and the driveline shudders a bit I would say its normal I notice that mine is a bit like that when reversing up the drive way in the morning, its a MY 18gti original DQ250 6 speed with 15k odo
Hey,
Have tried to find answers online but there's not much out there.
I've got a stock mk7 GTI PP, 70K kms on the clock, just been serviced and it's had the dsg service
Occasionally, when taking off in first/reverse, the car will seem to start moving and then it's as if it stalls slightly--just for a moment. It's distinct to the slight shudder when coming to a stop; this feels as if the clutch has just been dropped a little too quickly or something. It tends to only happen when the car is fairly cold still (within 10mins of a cold start).
Is this a fairly standard thing with the dq250?
Thanks.

slowestmk7,
Why don't you have your VW service manager access this issue?
Generally I don't trust them to diagnose stuff correctly without incessant pestering. I put forward that the dsg shuddered a little at times when it was still under warranty, but they said it was fine and didn't look into it. Im not hugely concerned, but have just noticed it happen a few times recently. Sounds like another "quirk" of dsg
slowestmk7 okay did not know it was out of warranty.
HAve you considered getting the DSG tuned? Gav HW100 on here can assist.
