    Mk7 Golf Wagon

Leaked photos of the MK7 Golf wagon.

I can see this being popular. No mention of a GTI or GTD version

    Leaked: VW Golf wagon pictures

You've got to ask the question, is the Jetta getting squeezed out of the picture? IMO from MK5 the Jetta just looks like a Golf sedan rather than a stand-alone model.

That's a fairly sharp looking wagon.. in some ways that comes together even better than the hatch.

The article states confirmation of no GTI/D versions. That's gotta be a help to the Skoda brand here.

You'd think its that or pretty close. Looks cleaner than the GTI strakes..

I note an article on carsales says the R-Line is being evaluated for Australia with the Touareg V8 R-Line's success or failure possibly determining whether other R-Line models are brought out. Seems stupid to make a decision on a Golf on the result of the Touareg which seems about $20-30k overpriced and unlikely to sell many.

    Ooooo

I would go an 4motion Golf R (proper R) wagon as our second car in a heartbeat.... this thing, as it is (4motion) but with the 135 might even fly with me ...a GTD 4Motion Wagon if you will (or better- the twin turbo tdi for a GTD-R)... but a real R would be awesome...

600 litre boot hanging of an R... Oh yeah!

    Having a Gap Year!!!!

Agreed it looks sharp. If this is the real deal i am amazed they got the tails to look the same as the hatch. The current Golf wagon's tails are not bad, but a bit yucky. This looks really swish.

Hmmm... The more i look at it the more i prefer its tails over the hatch. I am still not quite a fan of the way the tails of the hatch version taper upwards along the bottom as you move inwards towards the number plates. The wagons are flat all along the bottom.

The side view would look great if it was a smidgen shorter... Then i would agree it looks better than the hatch. Hatch still wins overall in looks.

Btw i wouild have expected to hear about the specs of the mk7 by now since it's being launched at the end of this month?
