There's simply Off, Inter, On & Fast (from memory) with a small mini button on top of the wiper arm to set the speed of the intermittent wipe.
Am I missing something obvious or is it that VW have skimped on the auto wipe function for Comfortlines now? If so, where's my reduced price for a car that doesn't have what was advertised seeing as it's my clear understanding that this function isn't cheap, with special windscreen glass required for the auto wipe function to work properly.
Kharmann Chia: Congrats on your new car!. I have a Highline, but the auto wipe function is same on your car (according to the VW brochure). I think that you might be confusing the term "auto-wiper" on the Golf VII (no offence intended). When applied to the MkVII, VW intend it to mean "auto-wiping" when the rain sensor detects water on the windshield. I'm not aware that the mkVII has an 'intermittent" fucntion - save that the rain sensor acts kind-of in the same way.
What happens when you move the wiper stalk to the first position (upwards), is that you engage the rain sensor. This is what Auto- wipe is IMO. The "small mini button" (as you call it) onto of the wiper stalk is the sensitivity control for the rain sensor. The more the mini button is moved to the right, the less rain that is needed to engage the wiper (i.e more sensitive)

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.
