That is a shame. The night blue is a great colour. I searched hard to get a GTI in the night blue. The other mk7 models look good in the colour as well. The pacific blue still looks good however.

Hi there, has anyone had any luck with this issue? My golf has started making the noise and I hear it when braking/decelerating and especially when the revs are higher during downward gear movements. It sounds like the door and is really loud and annoying!!! I'm booked in next week but want to go in there with some ideas, thanks!

On the other hand are there any
identified difference between My14 and MY15? I don't understanding why it should be more expensive?
Sucks about the colour mate! I just picked up a new Touareg in night blue and we love it. Seems silly to get rid of it!

Comparison between North American Golf MKVII and Australian MKVII

I posted a little while ago regarding the differences between the 90tsi and the 103tsi. Now my query is a broader one? Do Australian buyers get the short end of the stick when it comes to our model of the Golf vs the North American edition?

    North American Golf (Canadian Version):

Leatherette is standard on comfortline trims and leather standard on Highline trim.
Higher HP engine with 175HP and 185 lb-ft of Torque. 0-100 km/h in around 7.5s
8' screen on Highline entertainment unit.
Drivers Assistance Package includes lane assist.

    Australian Golf:
    5.7' display unit.
Cloth standard on all models, leather available as an option on highline model.
    90tsi and 103tsi engines available, 0-100kh/h in 9.3 and 8.4s respectively.

On paper, it seems like we get shortchanged on our version of the golf. Is this true? Are there any advantages to having a less powerful engine aside from slightly better fuel consumption? Is this another case of Australians paying more for less? (smaller display unit, no leather/leatherette, less powerful engine). Do Aussie golf buyers have any advantages that our North American counterparts do not?

At least we get the electric park brake & autohold. (Some mightn't see that as a positive but having lived with them for more than a year, I do)

Passenger mirror dipping in reverse - standard 2014 Golf 90 Comfortline 6sp manual

Before I start I will say I have already done a search in the Mk 7 section but a similar query only seemed to attract responses from owners with Passats or fully optioned R32s, not the current Golf 90 Comfortline.
My confusion has not been helped by the Features and Specifications section of the current Golf Sales Brochure which indicates "automatic kerb function when reversing, passenger side exterior mirror" is available on all Mk 7 Golfs except the base 90 TSI. I then went to a VW dealer in Sydney to check out Mk 7 Golf in the flesh, so to speak, and was told by one of the salesmen that there is no such thing in the lower spec models of the VW range.
So my questions are specifically addressed to anyone here who owns a 2014 Golf Comfortline 90 TSI manual, with standard spec:
    - when reverse gear is engaged, does the passenger mirror automatically dip down to show the offside rear wheel and gutter?
    - does this feature need programming from the car's own settings menu or does it first need to be coded and/or enabled by the dealer?
    Many thanks in advance

From memory you have to have the mirror selector knob set to the passenger side for it to work.
Other than that it seems like a mixedbag of people who got it and people who didn't.

Mirror selector knob must be set to left hand side. You also need to manually adjust the mirror to where you'd like it the first time; from then on, the mirror will revert to that position when you select reverse.

Pretty sure this procedure is outlined in the manual, too.

I think the poster also wants to know if you have the exact car specified (90TSI in manual) to be sure what you're saying is relevant to whether the salesman is stupid or not

above setting info is correct...on the mk7 you also have to "tick" the mirror dip function on your radio in the settings then mirrors / windows section....VDUB...
